B-Cubed

Project B-Cubed is an inspiring initiative by Yugen Education Foundation aimed at empowering public school teachers in Tamil Nadu, India, by fostering Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) practices. Through a year-long, essay-based competitions, teachers reflect on SEL strategies, gather classroom data, and submit essays. The best entries are rewarded and published, promoting SEL awareness and best practices across the education system.

The name B-cubed stands for the three key elements that define this project:

• Books as Donations: The books for rewards are accumulated through donations of the general public giving them an opportunity to exercise their generosity in a meaningful way.

• Books as Rewards: The top two winners receive carefully selected books for their school libraries, inspiring students and teachers alike.

• Books as Publications: The winning essays are compiled into a professionally published book, ensuring the spread of SEL strategies and best practices beyond the competition itself.
