About us
Who we work with
Yugen's Tangible Community Impact
We co-create with teachers, not for them. Through reflective platforms like Project B-Cubed, teachers become knowledge creators, not just implementers.
A rural teacher reflects deeply on her students' emotions and writes an essay that is later published and celebrated — boosting her confidence and inspiring peers.
Social-Emotional
Learning (SEL)
We build SEL-centred libraries with carefully curated books and guides to help teachers bring emotional learning into the room.
Children in a government school in Tamil Nadu read stories like Tilda Tries Again, talk about emotions, and learn to name and manage their feelings.
Literacy & Access
to Books
We set up mini-libraries in under-resourced schools through Books & Bridges, bringing high-quality children's literature where there was none.
Students in a tribal hamlet explore books about courage, curiosity, and kindness - sparking conversations, joy, and imagination.
Ground-up
Educational Change
We walk with schools instead of prescribing to them. Projects are developed with local teachers, based on real needs.
Instead of receiving fixed kits, a school co-designs its learning space and decides what support fits best - creating ownership and relevance.
Bridging Research
& Practice
We translate research into accessible formats teachers can use: story-based guides, activity cards, and reflective materials.
A teacher with no formal training in SEL begins to use language scaffolds from Yugen’s guide to talk about feelings in her mother tongue.
Community-
Dignified
Storytelling
We spotlight everyday educators and their work, inviting visibility, respect, and voice.
A teacher who brings nomadic children to school is no longer invisible - her story becomes part of a collective, published narrative.
